Checklist: Pairing HeatSense and Heart Rate Sensors
You will always connect both the HeatSense thermal sensor and a heart rate monitor. Review our checklist if you're having trouble connecting. You will connect the HeatSense sensor first.
Bluetooth connections for any device can be tricky the first time, so don't worry if you have to Rescan a few times.
Pairing Checklist
HeatSense Thermal Sensor
- Ensure the sensor is charged – might seem obvious, but it’s easy to forget.
- Wake up the sensor – shake it; a green light will blink on top to show it’s awake.
- Wear the sensor while connecting – wearing it a few minutes before pairing helps it recognize it’s being worn.
Polar Chest Strap
- Wear the strap for 2–3 minutes before pairing – the BLE connection works best when warmed up.
- Moisten the electrode area – dampen the plastic strips that touch your skin.
- Ensure a snug fit – adjust the strap so it’s secure around your chest.
- Remove and snap the sensor back on – try disconnecting and reconnecting the sensor to the strap.
- Replace the battery (CR2025) as a last resort – then reconnect after swapping batteries.
COROS Bicep Strap
- Ensure the HRM is fully charged. A gray charging cable was included in the box.
- Wear the HRM before pairing – it may remain asleep otherwise.
Once connected, allow a few minutes for the data to calibrate.
