Let’s Protect Our Athletes—Together
Heat stress is preventable—but only if we act early.
Each year, youth athletes experience serious heat-related stress during practices and games—sometimes with devastating outcomes. As temperatures rise and seasons get longer, it's time to challenge the status quo. It doesn’t have to be this way.
At HeatSense, we believe no parent should have to wonder how their child is handling the heat. With real-time tracking of core temperature and heat strain, we now have the tools to recognize elevated risk sooner. Now, we need your help to ensure every coach, trainer, and team can access this game-changing insight.

Frequently Asked Questions
When you submit a referral, we personally follow up with the coach, athletic director, or athletic trainer you've connected us to. We'll introduce HeatSense, answer their questions, and explore how the Team Dashboard could support their program. There's no obligation—we're simply starting a conversation about Heat Readiness. Many schools are actively looking for better solutions, and your introduction opens the door. You're not asking them to buy anything; you're connecting them with a resource that could positively impact every athlete on the roster.
Absolutely. Schools and athletic programs are increasingly focused on athlete safety, especially around heat. Your voice as a parent matters—you're advocating for your child and their teammates. Decision-makers appreciate parents who bring solutions rather than just concerns. We handle the rest.
Budget is a common concern, which is why we work with schools on implementation approaches that fit their resources. If you ask any school administrator, student safety is their #1 priority. Some explore booster club funding, grant opportunities, or phased rollout. When we talk to athletic directors, we help them think through options. Your job isn't to solve the budget question—it's simply to make the introduction so we can have that conversation directly with decision-makers.
Start by asking questions to understand their current approach—this shows you care and helps you see where gaps might exist. Try questions like: "What's our heat safety protocol when it gets really hot?" or "Do we have an Emergency Action Plan specifically for heat illness?" You can also ask practical questions: "What cooling equipment do we have on hand—ice baths, cooling towels, fans?" and "How do you decide when to pull a player who might be overheating?" These conversations often reveal that current approaches rely on watching for symptoms or following weather-based guidelines that treat everyone the same.
