Welcome to HeatSense—where smarter heat training begins. Follow these simple steps to activate your sensor, connect your devices, and unlock real-time insights into how your body performs in the heat.

1. Set Up Your Kit

Start by purchasing a HeatSense Kit or standalone sensor. Kits include:

  • HeatSense thermal sensor 
  • Heart rate monitor (HRM)
  • Charging cable and setup guide

Next, download the HeatSense app to your iOS or Android device. Once installed, follow the prompts to activate your membership—required to begin streaming data and accessing insights.

2. Complete Your Profile

Open the app and tap the menu icon, then select Account. Navigate to Personal Information and add key personal details, including:

  • Date of birth, height, and weight (for accurate HR and thermal scoring)
  • Location (used for local Wet Bulb Globe Temperature forecasts)

NOTE: A heart rate monitor can not be connected without Date of Birth.

This information helps personalize thresholds, alert timing, and insight recommendations. Learn how alerts work.

3. Connect Your Devices

Go to “Device Management” in the Account menu or tap the device icon at the top of the home screen.

  • Connect your HeatSense thermal sensor: Look for a BLE device name starting with “HeatSense.” Tap to pair.
  • Connect your heart rate monitor: Right after you connect HeatSense, connect your Heart Rate Monitor. The HeatSense Kit includes a Polar HRM. Do not connect through your phone’s Bluetooth settings—always pair directly within the app for accurate data syncing.

4. Start Calibration

Once both devices are connected, the HeatSense app will begin automatic calibration. This process lasts 2–3 minutes and helps tailor thermal feedback to your environment and physiology.

During this time, ensure both sensors remain in contact with the body

5. You're Ready to Train

After calibration, you’ll start receiving:

  • Real-time core and skin temperature tracking
  • Heart rate insights
  • Heat Strain and Acclimatization scores
  • Personalized alerts for when it’s time to adjust intensity or recover

Your HeatSense journey has begun. Every rep, every drill, every session—now backed by real-time performance data in the heat.
