HeatSense WBGT

wbgt for coaches and athletic trainers

Regulations are changing — and documenting environmental conditions at practice is becoming a requirement. The WBGT App makes it easy to capture conditions and log work/rest periods in just a few clicks.

TRAck the Heat. Stay Compliant.

Easily document every practice

Provide a duration and the WBGT app builds the work and rest periods from your zone's guidelines, runs a timer for each one, and logs WBGT every 30 minutes. When practice ends, initial the record and send it as a PDF or CSV. Your AD has it before the buses leave.

  • Work/rest periods built from the actual WBGT zone — or define your own
  • Work and rest periods automatically calculated based on your practice duration
  • A timer for every period, with a buzz when it ends
  • Certified record, emailed in seconds

BASED ON INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS

Built on established methods. Evaluated against professional WBGT instruments.

The HeatSense WBGT is based on algorithms that follow internationally recognized heat-stress standards and were validated across conditions from −10 °C to 40 °C. In field comparisons with professional, ISO-compliant WBGT instruments they showed strong agreement, with a mean absolute error below 0.10 °C — accurate and reliable for heat monitoring across climates.

The National Weather Service labels its own WBGT page “Prototype – Under Development. Not to be used for operational use” and describes its values as estimates for a wide area. Don’t run practice on it. WBGT for Coaches calculates a validated WBGT for your exact location, hour by hour. Source: weather.gov
