Teams Partner Program

See Your Team's Heat Response — Live

We bring the sensors, set up in minutes, and show your staff real-time data during a regular practice. Here's exactly what to expect.

A teams partner visit is a hands-on, in-person practice session where your staff sees — for the first time — how individual athletes are responding to heat in real time. No disruption to your practice plan. No complicated setup. Just data you've never had before.

The session typically runs during a normal outdoor practice and takes about 15 minutes of setup before your athletes take the field.

STEP 1 — BEFORE THE SESSION

Getting Ready for Our Visit

We keep preparation simple. A few things to have in place so we can make the most of your practice time together.

What We Need From You

  • Identify 10 athletes to wear sensors during the session
  • Consider sending a heads-up email to parents letting them know you're evaluating the technology (template below)
  • Don't forget to let us know where to check in to find you for the session.

Tip: Choose a cross-section of your roster — different positions, fitness levels, and body types. The variety is part of what makes the data so interesting. Every body responds differently, and you will see that firsthand.

STEP 2 — DAY OF THE SESSION

Live Practice Monitoring

The HeatSense team arrives before practice with everything needed. We handle the tech — your staff runs practice as usual.

How the Session Works

  • Sensor setup (~15 min): We fit 10 athletes with lightweight, fitness trackers worn on the bicep or chest — comfortable under pads and gear
  • Practice runs as planned: Athletes train normally. The sensors work in the background — no changes to drills, tempo, or routine
  • Real-time sideline view: We walk your team through the live dashboard and data
  • Live discussion: As data streams in, we point out what's happening — and share education around heat and heat response

What trainers and coaches tell us: The most common reaction is surprise — at how differently athletes respond under the exact same conditions. That's the gap between weather guidelines and athlete-level visibility, and it's something you can't unsee once the data is in front of you.

STEP 3 — AFTER THE SESSION

Your Performance Impact Report

Within one week, we deliver a comprehensive Performance Impact Report built from your practice data. The analysis is built from what happened with your athletes, on your field, in your conditions.

Environmental Analysis

Heat conditions during your session and what they meant for athlete strain

Team-Level Insights

Patterns across your roster — acclimation trends, group response, and recovery timing

Individual Takeaways

Athlete-by-athlete heat response data showing how each body handled the session

What the report reveals: You'll see exactly where weather-based guidelines would have treated your athletes the same — and where individual data tells a very different story. This is the foundation for building a heat response program tailored to your team.

Subject: We're trying a new Heat Response Technology at Practice

Dear [Team Name] Families,

As part of our ongoing commitment to athlete wellness and performance, we're evaluating a new technology called HeatSense at an upcoming practice.

Currently, we use Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) to manage heat during our practices — but that only tells us about the environment. It doesn't tell us how each athlete is actually responding. HeatSense gives us that visibility for the first time.

HeatSense uses a small fitness tracker worn on the bicep or chest that tracks key vitals and shows our coaching staff, in real time, how each athlete is responding to heat during training - for performance and for heat strain. During the session, 10 athletes will wear the sensors during a regular practice. The sensors are lightweight, comfortable under gear, and require no changes to how your athlete trains.

We're excited to see this data firsthand and will share more about what we learn. If you would prefer that your athlete not participate, please reply to this email to let us know.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
